There is an emptiness inside my heart
whenever past your door I stray,
a night where light and hope depart,
a dark that never fades away.

But what is grief if not a plea?
I still recall that single kiss —
the one you once denied to me,
the one you chose to dismiss.

Perhaps one day, when I am gone,
beyond the reach of mortal pain,
our wandering souls will meet as one
and time will bend its laws again.

And that long-promised, sacred kiss,
like debt unpaid through all these years,
I’ll place upon your lips in bliss
